Wheel Whorin'

So I'm partial to a group within the automotive culture, we are formally called wheel whores it's when we own multiple sets of wheels for our cars. For instance I have three sets right now. The title is given when you have more than one set of special, rare, nice, expensive, or wanted wheels. Standard is two sets or more. Usually they are just chillin in the owners garage not bein used. There is even bigger collections that consist of 10 or more sets but they are legen wait for it dary. The wheels themselves are what are important to the wheel whore, they have to be really interesting. They have to be Something that people respect.  Wheel whores are the kind if people when they see a junk yard of old special edition cars are lookin for the wheels first. They love to find those original BBS's or OZ's that nobody has. They really are picky to they're own sub genre also. If they love rally they are goin to be looking at braid wheels or more rally heritage based wheels. If the person is into the whole stanced nation they would have wheels that have an insane offset and have an insane deep dish look. The tires also play a big roll on what wheels or sub genre you are in. The look of tires are becoming important to the culture and the tread, size, tallness, and width are becoming a big deal. So to be a wheel whore you have to have a special eye on what wheels look like and what they represent, that's why we collect wheels for our vehicles.

Wheel collectors or Wheel Whores are tied into a couple areas in the automotive world, first the wheel makers, they buy their wheels and collect old wheels etc. They also are within the tire world, they buy collect and document tires. They gauge the ability the look and the performance of the tires. Which can either make a tire or break them. Also the Lugnuts that are being used to hold the special wheels and tires. There is a big wow factor when you find some OG wheels then you find some super rare Manufacturing Lugnuts that were ultra limited. The Lugnuts also are used to compliment the wheel or car so the wheel whore also pays attention to these factors. These are the general areas in which the Wheel collectors are apart of. They stimulate a niche group and they get some major rep within the automotive world.

Along with the car itself if you have some wheels that a generation or specific owner will have some connection to the culture just as much. People have massive collections and ones that a lot of people covet. Even if you cant find a whole set Wheel Whores like to reauthor or reconstitute the use of the wheels. The common usage is a wheel table. Usually you will find a real wheel whore who has a old F1 BBS wheel or OZ wheel that are super deep. Super cool things come from these reconstituted ideas.
